The MP3 files that are no longer available for download from this site are now available
here.
I have no control over, nor responsibility for, the material on this Russian site and I can't help if any of the files are corrupted or incorrect in any way, so please don't send any emails to me if you discover a problem.
I'm grateful to Artyom for making the effort to keep these beautiful old recordings available, and I'm grateful to all the people who sent messages in support of this eccentric little experiment. Thanks to you all.
Thank you for this.

Let me tell you my story. I got a takedown note from Google on one of the posts on my blog, so I took down the link for that one post accordingly. I aim to post out-of-print material as well. The DMCA legislation as it currently stands is the US is fair like that, and Google itself even more fair. Some countries elsewhere, including some in the EU, have more invasive legislation, and we here may as well along the way, but I have to tell you: I think you're in the clear with the kind of material you post. Even so, I think there's plenty of good in keeping this blog, even if the posts are more occasional and of a different nature. Perhaps you can post some highlights you've noted from Irish Music Resources on the right.
ReplyDeleteLet me offer you a post if it's any inspiration to you - has one of my favorite quotes about Irish music:
